Chermoula African Seasoning

Chermoula is a marinade and sauce popular throughout northern Africa especially Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The exact combination and proportions of ingredients vary by region, but in general the flavor calls to mind a strong, herb-forward pesto or chimichurri sauce, seasoned with African spices and heightened with the bright, acidic notes of preserved lemon.

Ingredients: bell peppers, sea salt, garlic, paprika, onion, turmeric, lemon peel

Uses:  Ready to use as a dry rub for grilled seafood, beef, or poultry. Fantastic when added to ground lamb for kabobs or burgers. Can blend into yogurt or mix with olive oil to create a refreshing alternative to pesto or chimichurri.
