Garam Masala is a common east Indian blend of spices. Translated it means hot spices. It is called for in many traditional east Indian dishes and like most Indian blends it will vary from household to household and will never be the same. It is a very warm pungent blend. Try mixing with honey as a fragrant barbecue rub for chicken, warming flavor to curries and stews.
Ingredients: Cardamon, Coriander, Cumin, Pepper, Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg
Use to make curries and dishes such as chicken tikka masala
Mix with melted butter or yogurt as a rub or marinade for meat prior to braising, broiling or grilling
Add to sour cream or yogurt for dipping sauce
