How to use it
The gentle smoke. Applewood gives the lightest, sweetest smokiness of our three smoked salts — ideal for seafood, poultry, and eggs where hickory would overpower. Finish baked salmon, chicken breasts, fried eggs, or roasted cauliflower. Also great in baking: a pinch in brownie batter or on chocolate chip cookies adds just a whisper of campfire.
What it goes with
This mild smoke finds its best match in our Hojicha — both are gently roasted, with toasty sweetness rather than bold smoke. The furanic compounds they share create a natural bridge. For breakfast pairings, brew our Hojicha alongside applewood-smoked eggs.
