What’s in itsage
How to use it
Brown butter and sage — the simplest, most perfect pasta sauce. The classic in Thanksgiving stuffing, pork sausage, and saltimbocca. Fry whole cut leaves in butter until crispy for a finishing garnish. Simmer in cream sauces, add to butternut squash soup, or mix into cornbread. Bold enough to stand up to rich, fatty dishes. One teaspoon per pound of ground pork for breakfast sausage — non-negotiable. Stir into stuffing mix, cream sauces, and cornbread batter. Mix into compound butter for pork chops. Ground sage dissolves completely — no leaf texture, just pure sage flavor. Add early in cooking for deep, earthy warmth.
What it goes with
