How to brew it

Steep 5–7 minutes
Use 1–2 tsp per 8oz
Cannot over-steep: no tannins, so no bitterness however long you leave it
Beyond the cup
Double vanilla — the rooibos already has vanillin, and then there’s more. Steep into cream for the richest vanilla custard base you can make from a tea bag. Infuse into butter for vanilla shortbread. Brew a concentrate and use as a vanilla extract substitute in baking — seriously. Reduce with sugar for a vanilla syrup that beats anything from a bottle.
