How to use it

The hearty onion. Larger pieces rehydrate in soups and stews to look and taste like fresh-diced onion — great when you want visible onion in every spoonful. Add to pot roasts, slow cooker recipes, braises, and chunky chili. Needs more time to rehydrate than granulated (15–20 minutes in liquid), so add early. Also good in bread dough and savory muffins where you want pockets of onion flavor. The invisible onion. Dissolves completely into dressings, dips, sauces, and dry rubs — no texture, just a savory onion backbone. The classic partner to garlic powder in virtually every spice blend. Essential for ranch dressing, onion dip (mix with sour cream), burger seasoning, and dry rubs. Shake onto popcorn, roasted nuts, or scrambled eggs for instant savory depth. Use a bit less than granulated — finer grind means denser volume. The textured onion. Granules hold their shape in soups, stews, and casseroles — you'll see and taste distinct onion pieces. Blooming in oil for 30 seconds before adding liquid unlocks a deeper, sweeter flavor (that's the Maillard reaction at work). Great in burgers, meatloaf, chili, and French onion dip. The go-to format when you want onion presence, not just onion background.
