How to use it

Hungary's national spice. Essential for chicken paprikash, goulash, and deviled eggs. Two tablespoons of Hungarian paprika stirred into sour cream makes the classic paprikash sauce. Also the secret to Spanish patatas bravas, roasted cauliflower, and any dish that needs vibrant color and sweet pepper depth without heat. Stir into rice, sprinkle on hummus, or mix into a salad dressing. No heat at all — pure sweet pepper flavor.

What it goes with

Despite being the most carotenoid-rich spice in the world, the real tea bridge comes from paprika's β-carotene fraction — it produces the same violet compound (β-ionone) that gives our Darjeeling its floral character. Brew a cup alongside chicken paprikash or goulash.
