Our Chile-Lime Seasoning captures the combination of chile pepper, lime juice and sea salt that is used by street food vendors in Mexico to season fresh fruit for a delicious and traditional snack. It blends together a bold mix of flavors to provide a unique hot, tangy and salty balance that is perfect for sprinkling over fresh fruit such as mango, papaya, pineapple or melon (often traditionally accompanied by jicama or cucumber), rimming cocktail glasses or using as a seasoning for grilled meats. This is my go-to for roasted potatoes and hash browns. Though last night I combined the chile lime with the merken chile blend as a rub on chicken for fajitas and it was sublime. It was aromatic and had the most beautiful taste profile. It wasn't too spicy----just the perfect blend of savory heat. I can't wait to sprinkle this on pineapple and papaya next! Mucho gracias!
