How to use it

Liquid smoke in a grinder. Shake on eggs, mac and cheese, or mashed potatoes for instant campfire depth without a smoker. Mix into compound butter for smoked steak butter. Add to chili, baked beans, or lentil soup. The smoke flavor is real — hickory wood, not artificial — and a little goes further than you'd expect.

What it goes with

Smoke meets smoke. Our Lapsang Souchong is finished over pine wood the same way this pepper is finished over hickory — brew a cup alongside anything you'd season with this. It's the most natural pairing in the entire shop.

Also in these blends

On its own, this is the straight thing. It also goes into these blends, each made for a different evening. Read about Black Pepper →
