Beyond the cup

The natural flush. Traditionally used to support healthy fluid balance and kidney function — herbalists have reached for dandelion leaf for centuries when things feel puffy. Mineral-rich and mildly bitter. Steep 2 tsp in boiling water for 10–15 minutes. Drink between meals, not with food. Important: very high in vitamin K — talk to your doctor if you take blood thinners.

Good for

When you need a refresh

  • Traditionally used in herbal medicine as a diuretic
  • Traditionally used to help stimulate digestion — the leaf is a spring green in much of Europe
  • Grassy, faintly bitter, naturally caffeine-free
  • The spring cup
What the research looked at

Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a diuretic — the French name, pissenlit, says what the tradition thought of it.
Naturally rich in potassium.
A nutritive leaf, with vitamins A, C and K.
Naturally caffeine-free, green and frankly bitter — closer to rocket than to tea, and eaten as a salad green across France and Italy.

What it goes with

Pair with our Ginger Ground for a warming digestive-and-flush combination that's been used across European and Ayurvedic traditions. Add Fennel Seeds to smooth out the bitterness and support comfortable digestion.

Also in these blends

On its own, this is the straight thing. It also goes into these blends, each made for a different evening. Read about Dandelion Leaf →

Always handy

I use dillweed often. This dill is fresh and has a nice aroma. I use it in marinades, salad dressings, and on fish. Good stuff.
